How to Become a Christian
"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son."
John 3:16-18
Pray this simple prayer to God:
“Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner and I ask for Your forgiveness. I believe You died for my sins and rose from the dead. I turn from my sins and invite You to come into my heart and life. Thank you. In Jesus’ name amen.”
If you prayed that prayer and meant it then you are saved! You are a Christian and will go to heaven when you die!
If you don't believe in God or Jesus, then genuinely seek God, ask Him to show you the truth and He will.
"You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart."
Jeremiah 29:13

The Bible says God* created the heavens and the earth, and everything in it. He also created the first two people on earth. Adam and Eve. God created them in His likeness, and they and the world were perfect, eternal, and without sin (wrong). God even had a personal relationship with Adam and Eve. He would physically come down and visit with them.
God gave Adam and Eve free will by giving them one rule: that they were not to eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. God said they would surely die if they did.
One day Satan, in the form of a snake, deceived Eve into taking a bite of the forbidden fruit. She also gave some to Adam, and he ate it too.
By doing this, Adam and Eve committed the first sin (wrong) by disobeying God's one rule. Their actions caused sin and death to enter the world. Sin separated them from God (He no longer visited them in person) and people are now mortal and sinful.
We are descendants of Adam and Eve, so by nature we are sinful and also separated from God. To save us from sin, God sent his one and only perfect and sinless son, Jesus Christ. Jesus chose to die in our place for our sins and the sins of the world. His blood covered sin, so we are now saved by his grace through our faith in Him. Believe that Jesus died for your sins and that He rose again (Jesus was raised from the dead by God on the third day after his crucifixion), and you will be saved.
"For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus."
Romans 3:23-24
God* exists as three distinct persons, the Trinity, which is the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, who are one and the same. The Trinity is important because it helps us understand God's nature and how He relates to us and us to Him. The Trinity is God, and He came to meet Christians in three ways:
The Father: The Creator, Judge, and Lord of the history of salvation
The Son: The Lord who lived among humans as Jesus Christ
The Holy Spirit: The Counselor who guides people into all truth.
Some preach religious rituals and practices that must be followed in order to be saved. However, the Bible makes it much simpler. Jesus did the work for you! You must only believe and accept His free gift of salvation (deliverance from sin and its consequences) by faith in Jesus Christ.
As Christians, we choose to follow the commandments of God because we love Him, but they do not get us into heaven or give us salvation. We are saved by grace (a generous, free, and undeserved gift) alone because Jesus already saved us!
The ten commandments are:
1. You shall have no other gods before Me. 2. You shall not make idols. 3. You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain. 4. Remember the Sabbath day and keep it holy. 5. Honor your father and your mother. 6. You shall not murder. 7. You shall not commit adultery. 8. You shall not steal. 9. You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor. 10. You shall not covet.
But Jesus summed them all up simply into two commandments:
